Women, Leadership and Workforce education
The last 60+ years have seen the numbers of women in the workplace increase hugely since they entered the economic system to supplement the male earning capacity lost to two world wars. Complex social movements have contributed to this change– the feminist movement, equal opportunities legislation, the expansion of the service sector and the knowledge economy, the ever increasing cost of living and increased access to education.
Course Goals
To introduce participants in the history of women and leadership in the workforce education and development.

- Introduce the history and evolution of women in the workforce
- Explain the history of workforce education and the role it has played for women
- Explain the current state of workforce education for women
- Identify barriers to success
- Introduce thought leaders in the industry and explain the role of leaders in effecting change
Assignments
